The Dome House

Al & Mickey Quinlan Artist Residency 2025

In 2025, I ran the residency program at the Miller Art Museum's Dome House — on top of two digital marketing clients and my own studio work. Before and during the Douglas Pendleton residency, I organized and helped host weekly events at the Dome House, redesigned the website's UI and SEO, rebuilt and ran the social accounts, assited with running the Miller’s 50th anniversary and graphic design for that event at the Grainery in Sturgeon Bay. Photographed the space and the work being made in it on my own camera. I also built the initial marketing plan and wrote the residency's closing report and 2026 game plan.

Running 100% organic — zero ad spend, zero marketing budget — the Dome House account outperformed the Miller Art Museum's own paid social media strategy. One post alone, a "Meet the Artist" carousel, pulled in almost half of Miller's total views for the entire quarter.

All photography shown on my portfolio was edited on my own time, revisited in 2026 with a fresh perspective on a full year's work.

Shortly after the Dome House residency ended, I was offered my own spot at Clay on Steele, a ceramic residency in Algoma, about 20 minutes from Sturgeon Bay. That residency has since given way to the next chapter - my own studio practice, and a photography studio here in Sturgeon Bay.

Please enjoy the work below — it represents a full year of building something I'm proud of.
