I'm Leah Karrels — Sturgeon Bay-based creative consultant, official Shopify Partner, and the only local Shopify partner in Door County! I help northern Wisconsin business owners with the digital stuff that gets pushed to the side.

My background in hands-on creative work started early. At 13, I grew an Instagram account to over 13,000 followers. That experience shaped how I see content and work with clients more than anything else. My first job at 16 was at a paint-your-own-pottery studio down the street from my parents' house. Right after high school, I was a ceramics instructor in Milwaukee. I've always been drawn to creative things: designing jewelry, block printing, ceramics, knitting, watercolor painting, digital art, and more. I am currently an artist with Clay on Steele in Algoma, and I try to get to the pottery wheel at least once a week.

I grew up on the Niagara Escarpment, fossil hunting, beachcombing, and always looking at things closely. From early hands-on experience to going back to school as an adult for a digital marketing degree, I've built a practice that connects both worlds. I hear it all the time: I know I need to post, or I know I need to update my website - I just don't have time. I get it - and that's exactly where I come in. My approach gives your business the online presence it needs without the 24/7 stress of managing it yourself.

I always start organically, building a strong baseline before ever recommending paid advertising. Since founding Karrels Design in 2019, I've worked with art galleries, museums, boutiques, interior design firms, antique shops, farmers' markets, and more. I specialize in photography, social media, website development, and graphic design — and I bring creative direction and honest feedback to every project. I feel very lucky to call Door County home — once a summer kid, I'm now in my third year serving this unique community year-round.
